It’s been a long time coming, so small fan services like this make the wait a little more bearable. The next instalment of the Zelda franchise is set to land sometime next year, with Nintendo holding out of Breath of the Wild for the absolute best time to launch it across both the Wii U and the new Nintendo Switch.

I used Soft Mods in Maya to create a bulging effect in the Mask Salesmans. There’s something goosebump-inducing about seeing Skull Kid and the mask itself realised in such deep detail, and the striking balance between Pixar-like rendering and faithfulness to the original makes every scene standout. a fantastic short film called Majoras Mask - Terrible Fate by Ember Lab. A labor of love for the team, we created the project as a tribute to the legendary game and a gift to fans of the franchise. In the short fan film, Terrible Fate, the Ember Lab team set out to explore how the Zelda universe might be realized on film. One would think that the more realistic visuals would take away from some of the perfect art direction, but you (like me) would be very wrong. Majora’s Mask Fan Film Terrible Fate emberlab. It’s a tragic set piece that sets the tone for this sombre game, although it’s hard to focus on that when the reimagining is just this gorgeous. Taking aim at the events that set the game in motion, this short clip from animation studio Ember Lab shows the origins of antagonist Skull Kid, and how he nicked the elusive Majora’s Mask off the mask salesman before Link entered the scene.
Majora’s Mask is an undeniable masterpiece, and a short fan film of the game’s prologue has me yearning for a full feature adaptation. Classics like Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess helped define the icon that is Zelda today, but while I love both there’s still another that takes top spot for me. We'll be sure to keep an eye on any further developments for this game, as well as the PlayStation 5 launch as a whole.If you’re a newfound Legend of Zelda fan like I am, you’re likely to have very fond memories of Zelda games that might already be over a decade old. Ember Lab is promising more updates for Kena in the months ahead, so stay tuned.

The Rot can manipulate the environment and also upgrade their abilities over the course of the story. Kena: Bridge of Spirits will follow the title character, as well as her team of spirit companions called the Rot. PlayStation.Blog offered some more details on this game shortly after its reveal.
Taking place in a small village, a lone human lives among the natives and defends them with her magic staff and bow against the dark forces of evil. Thursday's PS5 reveal livestream continued with a new game from the team at Ember Lab.
